From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on approach to the airport at central Alaska the pilot lowered the landing gear and had only two green lights. He elected to return to Fairbanks where it was confirmed that the right landing gear was not locking in the down position. After consulting with maintenance the pilot made several passes down the runway with the landing gear extended. The object was to apply a side load on the right gear in hopes that would cause the down lock to engage. The pilot was eventually successful in this effort and landed without further incident.

As the FAA filed it
