From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: at approximately 032OZ uala flight 1260, a B-737-300 departed ewr from runway 22 right. While in climb pilot reported severe vibration and oscillation in rudder pedals, declared an emergency, requested return to ewr, CFR responded, landed on runway (ewr) at 2328L rwy 22 right without further incident taxied to ramp and deplaned the 117 passengers. Flight data and voice recorder pulled by request of NTSB. Further onsite investigation ongoing by airline, NTSB, and inspector dodds from AEA-FSDO-25 states that vibration in rudder pedals was publicated by maintenance with the aircraft on jacks. Similar incident of this nature occurred in August of '93. After observation, I concur with Boeing and uala engineering reports. This is a brake related problem not flight control problem
