From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on February 24, 1998, Mr. Jason p. doyle was the pilot in command of Beechcraft BE-99, N20FW, (amflight 125). Amflight 125 was on an IFR flight from burbank, CA to Oakland, CA at 10,000 feet when at approximately 0400 hours PST, it encountered elevator control problems while in the vicinity of paso roble, CA. At the time of the incident the airplane was in IMC in heavy rain with the OAT at -4 degrees celsius and the airplane experiencing light structural icing. Mr. Doyle descends to 4,000 feet in the vicinity of fresno, CA and regained elevator control. He then continued the flight to Oakland. During postflight inspection, the drain holes in the belly of N20FW were found plugged. Ice buildup inside the cavity, around the elevator cables, was the probable cause of the elevator control problems.
