From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On landing at msp, aircraft hydroplaned and went approx. 100 feet off end of runway onto paved overrun. The aircraft anti-skid system was mel'ed inoperative. Just prior to landing a light rain shower passed across the airport, including the landing runway, runway 12L. On final the crew was advised by ATC that the current wind was 220/13, which resulted in a three knot tailwind component on landing. After touchdown, the airplane hydroplaned, preventing wheel spin-up and delaying the application of ground spoilers. The airplane slid sideways, but down the centerline, until if left the runway. A crew debrief was conducted, the crew was counseled, and the crew received additional simulator training. In addition, the captain was required to complete a company line check. No further action is being considered.
