From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23)Due to an engine fire warning after takeoff, the right engine was shut down during climb out, both fire bottles were discharged and aircraft retruned to land. The crew stopped on the runway, shut down the aircraft, and evacuated through the main cabin entrance airstair door. The three flight crewmembers were the sole occupants. A post-landing investigation revealed that here had been no fire, and maintenance determined that a chafed-through fire detection loop in zone 1 had caused the false warning. The loop was replaced, and the aircrft returned to serivce.
