From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Engine flamed out at 1000 ft above ground level after departing Morgan airport (2U). Pilot landed on the westbound lane of I-84 at mile marker 95. Minor damage to one of the ailerons. Pilot reported that he had no indication of fuel pressure after the landing. Local maintenance personnel responded to the scene 4 hours later and could find no problem with the engine or fuel system. Aircraft was flown to ogden, UT on a special flight permit with no further problems. Additional inspections were performed with no discrepancies noted. Maintenance facility suggest that there might have been some water in a fuel line which became frozen after take off, even though no ater was found in the fuel system. Aircraft had been converted to use a Garrett turbine engine and was using approved auto diesel.
