From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At that point the captain noted smoke and what he recalls as flames coming from behind the ground spoiler advisory lights (located in the upper left corner of the forward console). The captain called the tower and declared an emergency. The aircraft was stopped at the intersection of echo & sierra taxiway, and the captain initiated the evacuation. 19 paxs, one lap child and 3 crew members egressed the aircraft thru the main cabin door. The evacuation was done expeditiously. The crew does not recall the exact time. There were no reports of any of the exits or associated equipment malfunctions. All the paxx and crew met approximately 100 feet off to the left of the nose of the aircraft. There were no injuries reported as a result of the smoke in the cockpit or the evacuation.
