From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was on an IFR flight from portland, Oregon to his home base in Pasco, WA. Light icing was encountered enroute and deicing equipment was used. Pilot executed an ILS approach to Pasco, arriving just after dark. While flaring the airplane for landing, at 5-8 feet above the runway, the airplane suddenly dropped out of the air. The right wing and right landing gear impacted the runway substantially damaging the airplane. Pilot stated he was carrying an extra 15 knots of airspeed on the approach. Post-flight inspection revealed ice remnants on airframe.
