From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) "Industrial incident-no intent to fly" Piedmont-hawthorne fuel truck river, privacy data omitted, drove behind comair CL-600, which had left one engine running awaiting a ground power unit after parking due to inop APU. The exhaust from the engine, running at idle according to the pilot, caused the windshield of the fuel truck to blow out, causing fuel slips, the driver's hat and an empty coke can to litter the ramp. All of these items were retrieved by the driver, who was not injured, and the broken windshield was cleaned up by delta global ground personnel. The ramp supervisor counseled the driver after the incident and briefed shift supervisors to caution their drivers about indications of running engines, including observation of rotating beacon, aircraft not chocked, etc.
