From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot stated he just forgot to put the gear down. He was wearing a set of boise handsets and that is why he did not hear the warning horn that the gear was not down. (-23 amendment) the aircraft landed with its landing gear retracted causing minor damage and no injuries. The pilot reported that he forgot to lower the landing gear and stated that he did not hear the warning horn due to his use of bose noise cancelling headsets. Investigations determined that the audio systems of this aircraft were not required to have inputs from the landing gear warning systems. The iic counselled the pilot on the importance of using checklists and following standard operating procedures.
