What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On mar 22, 2010 the comm rated pilot flew N5900N for some instrument approach training. On a non-precision GPS to rwy 30 @mce, the pilot decided to circle to land on 12 due to winds. He raised the gear on the go-around. He overshot the pattern altitude and then reduced power to descend back to the pattern. He disabled his "gear warning horn" at that time. He therefore continued the pattern approach to land on rwy 12, yet forgot the gear. He realised it just at the flare, so he went around sucessfully, yet badly damaged his propellor.
