From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On December 21, 2008, at approximately 01:00 EST, N1651TW a falcon 20 landed at the Chautauqua County/Jamestown Airport (kjhw) located in new york. The crew stated that due to the contamination present on the runway surface, the aircraft stopped 100 ft into the runway overrun. The aircraft was powered out of the overrun and taxied to the FBO where the crew discovered that the nose landing gear strut had a crack in the case and the nose structure was bent on. On Wednesday morning the 22nd of April. The office took a phone call from the com center that patched us in with an airworthiness inspector from the philadelphia pa FSDO. Inspector privacy data omitted, apparently has oversight of a repair station (falcon jet from wilmington, DE) and they were asked to perform an estimate to repair a falcon 20, N165TW. Allegedly it ran off the runway at Jamestown, NY back on 12/21/2008. His point was that when he checked,, there was no record of an event reported. A phonecall was placed to falcon jet in wilmington, de and they stated that the nose gear was broken and the nose structure was twisted about 1/2 inch. A call was placed to the NTSB and they determined that this was substantial damage.
