From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated that while on short final to runway 27 he elected to go around and return for landing. When he applied power to initiate the go around the right engine did not respond and only the left engine powered up. Due to the fact that the aircraft was configured for landing, with the landing gear down and full flaps, the aircraft did not respond favorably to the loss of power. The pilot decided that continued flight was not possible and elected to land the aircraft in an adjacent corn field, while under control.

As the FAA filed it
