From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This inspector investigated this incident which occured on 11/17/2010 at the Deer Valley airport (kdvt). This inspector accompanied by inspectors privacy data omitted and privacy data omitted met with privacy data omitted at his hanger on 11/23/2010 and determined that there was no damage to privacy data omitted aircraft. This inspector also asked privacy data omitted if any technical problems had a factor in the incident and he stated that the brakes were weak and that he has since had them replaced on the aircraft. privacy data omitted Also stated that there seemed to be confusion on the part of air traffic control between the approach controller he was receiving flight following from and the tower controller during his arrival since kdvt tower was in the process of changing runways from 25L/R to 7L/R. privacy data omitted Also stated that he felt rushed to get the airplane on the ground because of the backup of other aircraft behind him so he intentionally landed further down the field that he typically does. privacy data omitted Stated that as a result of this and the weak brakes his landing roll continued beyond the end of the runway into a paved overrun area but did not go into a non-paved area and did not note any damage to the aircraft. privacy data omitted Stated that he had not participated in any type of safety/recurrent/wings program training in the previous 24 calendar months. Finally, privacy data omitted stated that he has approximately 50 hours of total flight in the make and model of the incident aircraft and has logged total aircraft flight time of approximately 2500 hours including military/nasa flight time. This inspector also requested that privacy data omitted provide this inspector a copy of his updated medical, new plastic pilot certificate, and an updated flight review and an aircraft logbook endorsement showing that a transponder check has been completed within the previous 24 calendar months. privacy data omitted Agreed to provided this information when he was able.
