From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was doing a test landing to determine the depth and drag of the snow. Upon the first pass and initial touchdown there was excessive and unforeseen drag on the gear due to the nature and depth of the snow resulting in the event where the aircraft flipped over on its back. The pilot stated just before rolling over he applied full power in an attempt to go around but was not able to correct the drag of the aircraft before rolling over. VMC conditions were present and daylight prevailed. No injuries.
