From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated she did a normal 3 point landing. As she was slowing down she had difficulties keeping the aircraft straight. There was very little left rudder available. The aircraft swerved right contacting the left wing with the left main strut collapsing. Post accident review showed the tail wheel assembly swiveled in the right direction but failed to operate in the left direction and was either binding or not moving at all in the left direction. The NTSB is in possession of the tailwheel assembly conducting further analysis.
