From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 10/09/2020 during climb from FL 280 the flight crew heard a sound so they checked cabin altitude (alt) was normal. The squeal sound increased in volume as the crew observed a rapid rise in the cabin alt and a cabin alt warning message. The flight crew could tell the noise was coming from the service door area and they descended to a lower altitude and declared an emergency and decided to divert into Jfk. After descending through FL 250 the flight crew received cabin alt caution followed by warning message. The cabin 02 masks auto deployed and the flight attendant (fa) reported all passenger were using O2 masks. At 10,000FT a flight crew member removed mask in cockpit and smelled an electrically/rubber smell. The flight crew called the fa and asked if she smelled anything burning, she said no. smell continued until after landing. The fa reported no smell until after landing and then it cleared on its own after about 2 minutes. The aircraft landed without incident and no injuries. Maintenance removed and replaced both cabin pressure controllers, the service door seal and passenger door seal.
