From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot attempted to land at the park river airport north of gfk. He attempted to put the gear down and it would not come down. He ran the emergency gear extension procedure. The gear failed to extend. The pilot proceeded to the gfk airport where he knew crash rescue was available. Arriving at the gfk airport he notified ATC about the gear extension and again tried the emergency gear extension procedure and several fly-by where ATC confirmed the gear had not extended. The pilot executed a successful gear up emergency landing at the gfk airport without injuries.
