From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Shortly after takeoff, aircraft experienced dual hydraulic failure. Crew declared emergency and approached hnl. Landing gear handle was placed in down position but gear did not indicate down. Emergency gear handled was pulled but only nose and main indicated down and locked (green). Crew conducted fly by of tower and tower indicated the gear appeared down. Crew landed aircraft and upon touchdown, the left main collapsed. The design of the aircraft resulted in the let main supporting the aircraft in the retracted position because the wheel protrudes from the wheel pod in the retracted position. No damage to the aircraft. Aircraft was lifted so the gear could be extended and locked to tow the aircraft to the operator's maintenance facility.
