From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On August 7, 2025, at approximately 0414 MST, the pilot in command (PIC) was issued takeoff clearance while completing the before-takeoff checklist. During the runway entry from the north taxiway onto runway 17, the aircraft deviated from the runway centerline. As a result, the left propeller made contact with two runway edge lights. The PIC did not recognize the propeller strike and continued the takeoff from runway 17, departing to the south. Shortly after takeoff, the PIC observed an abnormal vibration originating from the left engine and elected to return to Salt Lake City (slc) for a precautionary landing. The aircraft landed without further incident. Post-flight inspection by maintenance personnel confirmed a propeller strike had occurred. Counseling is being recommended due to the pilot not maintaining control of the aircraft. No further action is required at this time.

As the FAA filed it
