From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Mr. Lincoln ragle and a passenger departed the Chino Airport Chino California and stayed in the pattern. Mr. Ragle stated that the Chino tower was training a new controller and on final approach it appeared the new controller had approved two aircraft to land at the same time. The tower supervisor took over and rerouted the other aircraft. On final approach Mr. Ragle stated he lowered the single fuselage mounted landing gear, but did not verify that the gear locked in the down position. After landing the weight of the aircraft settled on to the single fuselage gear. The gear not being locked retracted back inside the fuselage until just half of the wheel was exposed, which is the normal retract position. The aircraft received minor damage, and Mr. Ragle and passenger did not receive any injuries.
