From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

When flying from wvi to pao the PIC listened to ATIS reporting crosswind of 10 gusting 20.

Visual observation of windsock showed wind from 280 degrees.

PIC made normal touchdown on runway 30. During rollout the wind pushed the aircraft to righ right and the PIC of the Europa experimental tailwheel aircraft was unable to prevent the drift. The aircraft ground-looped and came to a stop, 10 feet off the left-hand side of the runway, hitting a gopher hole and nosing over. The prop struck the ground. The clutch prevented damage to the engine.

There was no damage to airport property.
