From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On the may 5, 2010, Mr. Omar alsamaan and Mr. Sivakumaran kandasamy were flying N6003Y returning from gainsville regiona airport (kgnv). Mr. Omar alsamaan was the acting PIC at the flight controls of the aircraft. The flight back to kfpr was uneventful and conducted under an IFR flight plan. After recieving a clearance from miami center for a visual approach to runway 10R, Mr. Alsamaan proceeded to land the airplane on runway 10R. The landing was uneventful also. The airplane landed at about 22:00 local time. Tower was closed. After landing, Mr. Alsamaan proceeded to clear the runway onto taxiway b. Mr. Alsamaan turned too early to what he thought was the taxiway and the aircraft's right propeller struck one of the runway edge lights. After inspection, the damages generated on the propeller seem to be consistent with the propeller striking a runway edge light. No other damages were discovered on the aircraft.
