FAA incident reports

234,323 FAA reports of aviation accidents and incidents, from the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS) through its Aviation Safety Information Portal. An incident falls short of an accident: a bird strike, say, or a gear-up landing without substantial damage. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one.
